I used to think that unless I had a full hour to dedicate to working out, it wasn’t worth doing at all. That “all or nothing” mindset ran deep — until life (and motherhood!) showed me otherwise. Now? I’ve learned that even 15 minutes a day can make a huge difference — for both my body and my mind.
It might not sound like much, but those small, consistent efforts stack up. Whether it’s 15 minutes daily or 30 every other day, those micro-moments of movement are far more powerful than one big, intense workout every couple of weeks. And honestly, they’re so much more realistic for most of us — especially when time feels like a luxury.
I always come back to Pilates. It’s my constant, my grounding force — not just physically, but mentally. I’ve never once regretted hopping on the reformer, even on the most chaotic days. That short session gives me a more mobile spine, lengthened muscles, a calmer nervous system, and this deep sense of clarity. It’s magic, every time.
One of the things I love most about Pilates is how efficiently it works the entire body — the big movers and the often-forgotten smaller stabilizers. You really don’t need a lot of time to feel the shift.
And listen, I get it — finding “me-time” is a real challenge. Since becoming a mom, it’s been even harder to carve out those precious moments. But I’ve also learned that when I do, everything flows a little easier. I’m a better version of myself — more patient, more present, more connected.
That’s why I believe so deeply in consistency over intensity. Even 15 minutes of movement — whether it’s a walk, a stretch, a short Pilates session, or just a few minutes of intentional breathing — is an investment in your future self. We’re not chasing calorie burns here; we’re thinking big picture: stress relief, mobility, core strength, posture, and long-term vitality. (Yes, I fully plan to be squatting at age 85)
If you’re looking for support in staying consistent, I’ve created a library of classes on my streaming platform — everything from 8 to 60 minutes, across a variety of categories, so you can find what fits your day. If you haven’t tried it yet, you can start with a free 7-day trial — no pressure, just options.
Here’s to showing up for yourself in the smallest ways — they really do add up. 💛
