On-Demand Workout Levels Explained

The Saran Pilates Online Studio has 3 technique levels and 3 intensity levels. Scroll down for the breakdown.

In each class type (Mat, Reformer, Jump, Chair and Tower) we offer different technique and intensity levels.

Level 1

Made for the beginner, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy! We take our time explaining proper form in a slower pace than for levels 2 and 3. It’s important to understand what Pilates is all about and how to move with our Pilates Principles in mind in order to keep our workout “Pilates”. It’s easy to do Pilates incorrectly, so taking the time to set up each exercise is important in getting you ready for the next level.

Level 2

Made for the intermediate student, this is our signature class. A steady pace while still paying ample attention to form. Some classes may feel easier than others as the intensity levels differ. If you feel like you can activate your core properly, and if you’re using a reformer you feel confident handling the machine, this level is for you.

Level 3

Made for the advanced student who has been practicing Pilates for a while. You need to feel confident about your form to do these workouts. The pace is faster in the sense that we will set up for moves more quickly. These workouts are more difficult as the more technically challenging exercises in Pilates usually are.

Warm

Warm workouts are feel-good sessions. In most cases, they hold a balance between strengthening and stretching. These workouts are great to do between higher intensity ones, or for days where you need a pick-me-up that’s not going to mess up your hair!

Hot

The Hot workout intensity is our signature level. In this category there may be workouts from technique levels 1, 2 or 3. The way the exercises build up will bring more heat to the body. These sessions will leave you feeling rejuvenated and strong.

Blazing

For days when you want to include a little more cardio in your Pilates workout. The exercises may be of technique levels 1, 2 or 3 depending on the session. From Pilates moves that get your heart pumping to gentle plyometric exercises, this intensity will leave you feeling detoxed!
